Information Desk

For assistance in using the libraries please ask at the Information desk. The Information desk is staffed by permanent staff members from 8.30am to 9pm weekdays and 11am to 2pm on Saturdays during the semester. After hours you can use the Ask a question service. Questions will be answered as soon as possible.

Reference resources

The Reference collection includes encyclopaedias, yearbooks, telephone books, directories, bibliographies, university calendars, maps and microforms (including newspapers and company reports), NZ official statistics and parliamentary papers, indexes to journals.

Databases are available for searching electronically. Staff can assist you in selecting an appropriate database to search or try searching by subject.

The booklet Notes on the Preparation of Theses is available in both electronic (PDF 23 pages/123K) and paper formats. Ask at any Library Information Desk for a paper version.
