What is Borrow Direct?Borrow Direct allows University of Otago staff and students to borrow books directly from participating libraries. This can be done on-site with a valid university ID card or online via the Library Catalogue. This free service is offered by the Library Consortium of New Zealand (LCoNZ):
Borrowers can make requests online via the Library Catalogue and pick up items from any designated LCoNZ library. You can track the progress of your Borrow Direct requests via My Account on the Library Catalogue. The owning library determines which items can be borrowed, but Reference, Journals, Special Collections and Reserve materials are usually excluded. If you have trouble getting an item through Borrow Direct, make an interloan request from Document Delivery (online form).
