Tours and classes

General tours of the Hocken Collections are held every Wednesday at 11am and 2pm during the year. These take approximately 50 minutes and include a tour of the stack areas. Tours are open to all visitors to the library. There is no need to book.

Community groups wishing to tour the Hocken are requested to book in advance. Please contact Anne Jackman, Reference Librarian, 479 8873

Tours for university students are held on Wednesdays at 11am and 2pm. There is no need to book.

Subject classes are also available for students at secondary and tertiary level, and will provide an introduction to using the Hocken and its collections. As much as possible these will be designed to support teaching requirements.
