Basic Search
is
for quick searches.
To perform a Basic Search
- Enter search term(s) in the Search for box
- Select the type of search from the Search by
box
- Limit the search by either
a. selecting a limit from the Quick Limit box;
or
b. clicking More Limits and choosing from a list
- Select how many search results you want displayed on each page
- Click Search
Example:
Search for the videos/DVDs held by the library
that relate to the book Lord of the Rings which
was written by J.R.R. Tolkein

Note:
- Click Reset to clear the Basic Search page
- Search examples and search tips can be found at the foot of
the Basic Search page
Practice examples:
- Search for books written by the British Museum
- Search for the journal New Scientist
- Search for items on the subject of ecology
