Basic Search

is for quick searches.

To perform a Basic Search

1. Enter search term(s) in the Search for box
2. Select the type of search from the Search by box
3. Limit the search by either
   a. selecting a limit from the Quick Limit box; or
   b. clicking More Limits and choosing from a list
4. Select how many search results you want displayed on each page
5. Click Search

Example:

Search for the videos/DVDs held by the library that relate to the book Lord of the Rings which was written by J.R.R. Tolkein

Note:

• Click Reset to clear the Basic Search page
• Search examples and search tips can be found at the foot of the Basic Search page

Practice examples:

• Search for books written by the British Museum
• Search for the journal New Scientist
• Search for items on the subject of ecology
